How To Get Keystones Diablo 3
Rift Keystone Fragment tooltip, seen in the Compensation reward window.
Rift Keystone Fragments, usually chosen "Rift Keys" or "Keystones" are a kind of textile awarded for completing Bounties and opening Horadric Caches. Rift Keys are spent to open Nephalem Rifts, and have no other function or purpose in the game. These materials are constitute but in Reaper of Souls and in Adventure Style.
- Meet also Greater Rift Keys.
Prior to Patch ii.1, opening a Nephalem Rift required v rift keys, and all players in a game could enter the aforementioned Rift one time information technology was open. (This created the Rift information technology Forward phenomena.) In Patch two.one the Rift Key system changed to 1 Rift Central for each player who wished to enter the rift. The same applies to Greater Rifts, which crave i GRK of the right level for graphic symbol who wishes to enter.
- Rift Keys are obtained 1 per bounty, and there are unremarkably 2 keys in a Horadric Cache. Thus a thespian can earn up to 7 for immigration all five bounties in an act, plus the bounty bag.
- Greater Rift Keys (level i only) are dropped randomly 1 by whatever Rift Guardian.
- Greater Rift Keys of higher levels are dropped only by Greater Rift Guardians.
Greater Rift Keystones [edit | edit source]
A new kind of rift key was added in the Patch 2.1, tied to Greater Rifts. To open these special types of Rifts, players must find a GRK, which is a random drib by whatever Rift Guardian. Completing a Greater Rift inside the 15m timer will earn higher level GRKs.
- See the Greater Rifts article for full details on this major game organization.
Rift it Forrad [edit | edit source]
From RoS' launch up until Patch 2.one, Rift it Frontwards was a popular technique (exploit?) to share the costs of Rift Keys and rewards of Nephalem Rift completions. Patch two.1 killed this system by changing Rift costs from 5 keys to open a rift, to 1 cardinal per each player upon entering the Rift or Greater Rift.
When the RiF system worked, the technique was for a powerful player to solo a Rift on a loftier difficulty level, then to use the public or clan conversation to offer spots in his game to other players simply earlier he completed the rift. A weaker character or characters would join in and enter the rift, thus getting their share of the Guardian'due south driblet, plus the exp and golden reward for finishing the rift. In substitution, the weaker graphic symbol would open a new Rift in that game, and then exit, leaving it for the powerful character to solo, and saving him the cost of whatever rift keys.
This organisation benefited weaker characters by giving them costless experience, gilded, and items, and benefited powerful characters past enabling them to practice Rifts without having to subcontract for or spend their own Rift Keys. Though the entire organization is technically an exploit, Blizzard commented approvingly[1] on it, and seemed to take no plans to finish Rif'ing... until Patch 2.1 all of a sudden changed the rift costs and did simply that.
